About The Festival
“If we don’t do theatre in these times of crisis, if we cannot reach our audience or be where the present struggle is - what the hell are we doing?” ~ Moloyashree Hashmi

For one day, we will have the opportunity to take over the Sally K and tell our stories. The raw. The real. The important stories that shape us as human beings. Everyone who wants to participate will have a place.
Whether that be performance, visual, music, fashion, or even a form of performance art - if you have an idea, we have a space for you. The only rule? It has to be based around a topic of importance, such as human rights, equality, or social norms*. Thats it. No censorship. No jury. Just pure creativity.

This festival is being produced as an Honors Project in the Rollins College Department of Theatre and Dance.
FAQs
* What counts as a topic of importance? It is defined here as any topic that has to do with human rights, social justice, or societal norms. If you have an idea that you think would fit with the mission of this festival that falls outside of these bounds, feel free to contact Rowyn Sam to expand the definition.
I won't be on campus in the Spring! How can I participate? We take video submissions as well as physical art! Collaboration with other students is also highly encouraged for all participants so you can have someone else show your work on your behalf.
What if I'm not a performer/ don't want to be onstage? We accept art of all skill levels and mediums, even if its not performance based. Even if you want to participate but don't have artwork to contribute, you can volunteer to help run the event.
How can I get updates on this? This website, as well as the Instagram account rowyn.sam.design will have all of the most up to date information!
