Unstitched: A Metamorphosis of Healing
Interactive Art Installation
Rollins Title IX is cultivating a space where art becomes testimony and transformation. The piece gathers the quiet, unstitched voices of survivors and brings them into a shared metamorphosis, embodied through butterflies whose wings hold stories once silenced after sexual abuse and assault. Challenging the myth that clothing plays any role in causing harm, this piece supports the nationally recognized What Were You Wearing exhibit, illuminating the truth that attire never causes sexual violence. Through expressive arts, narrative restoration, and symbolic stitching, this butterfly garment inspires viewers to find their wings and join the healing journey.
